Our Mission
Phoenix Futures Education Fund is a registered Canadian non-profit organization empowering Caribbean children through access to education and culturally rooted learning opportunities. The initiative is grounded in the belief that preparation builds confidence while confidence fuels opportunity.
By providing essential school supplies alongside exposure to creative and developmental experiences, we help students start strong, focus on learning, and expand their sense of what’s possible beyond their immediate circumstances.
Rooted in Caribbean values, Phoenix Futures bridges education and community to create lasting impact across generations.

After supporting over 100 students with school supplies, Phoenix Futures is returning for our second Gift of Learning initiative continuing our commitment to helping children start the school year prepared, confident, and ready to learn.
With just a few months until the new school year, many families are facing rising costs and limited access to essential supplies. For some children, going back to school without the basics can affect not only their learning, but how they feel showing up each day.
This year, we’re placing an even stronger focus on supporting students with differing abilities.
Every donation helps us reach more children, ease the burden on families, and create positive associations with school.

Our Impact
THE GIFT OF LEARNING
RISING HIGHER
Through our Rising Higher Moko Jumbie workshop in Mississauga, Ontario, children were introduced to traditional Caribbean masquerade, an art form rooted in history, movement, and confidence. Led by experienced practitioners, students learned the foundations of balance and stilt-walking in a safe, supportive environment.
What stood out most was how quickly the children grew in skill and in confidence. They began to trust themselves, supported one another, and connected with their culture in a meaningful, hands-on way.
This workshop created space for Caribbean diaspora youth to experience their heritage with pride. We thank every donor who helped make this possible!
Through our pilot initiative, we provided backpacks filled with school supplies and snacks to over 100 children in Trinidad who represented diverse neighbourhoods and needs.
The event was marked by immense warmth and care. Our parents shared how the smooth organization and welcoming atmosphere helped ease the back-to-school burden and saved their families a significant cost.
As we continue to grow, we’re expanding our reach to carry forward our commitment to creating access to, and opportunity through education.
